(continuation)
claudia and i head to the waterfalls trail today while frank, ray and emilija do some diving. the waterfalls are great. the pools at the bottom are the first really cold water in which we've swam while in fiji. if they could bottle up the feeling we got from jumping into the water after hiking up the side of a mountain in the tropical heat, they could sell a lot of budweisers.

i don't know what in the hell this was, so i took a picture of it.

and we made it to waterfall number two where we decided to take a dip in the chilly water and eat lunch.

the lizards around here have tails of vibrant colors. i later learned that the tails are brightly colored right after they are regrown and turn brown after being exposed to sunlight.

our adventure was fairly mild. here we see the most treacherous part of the journey: rope assisted rock hopping.

a nice babbling brook.

more colorful foliage.

back at the lookout point on the way down.

more butterfly photography. these guys are hard to get to sit still.
