Cavorting in Kamakura (鎌倉)
More weekend antics in the Japanese hinterlands

Kazu and Yumi, two kind souls willing to put up with my incoherent combination of Japanese and English, invited me on a road trip to Kamakura, a fairly popular tourist stop on the Japanese circuit.

A trip that involved a huge Buddha and a chance to tool around the Japanese countryside in an automobile, a form of transportation one rarely has occasion to make use of in this train-crazy country, was not one I was going to pass up. So I gleefully accepted and even got to sit in the front seat so I could see all the lovely sights.

But enough with the banter, click the photos at left and have a look for yourself.
