Meandering around Mitake-san

(none)

Yuka, one of my classmates at my Japanese language school, organized a trip to a little mountain to the west of Tokyo by the name of Mitake-san. Putting temples on top of mountains is very popular in Japan, as is hiking up to the top to do your tempular business. I suppose one is to believe that in return for the strenuous exertion of climing all the way up to the temple, the gods will look more kindly upon you when you get around to the asking for divine favor part.
