For all the complaints I’ve heard about bad acting and uninspired plot, I can’t deny thoroughly enjoying this and the previous Potter film. It’s good clean fun and I’m fortunately able to remain uncritical of it as a work of art and just enjoy it as entertainment. Magical.

As a Kurosawa fanboy, I found the biographical information covered in the film interesting and enjoyed it purely for a chance to see the man himself holding interviews. However, for the non-fanboy, I would certainly recommend heeding Kurosawa’s own advice and concerning yourself with the works and not the creator.

Michael Moore is pretty annoying, but I enjoyed his presentation and can’t patently deny his conclusions. He did a fine job of keeping things interesting without being overly sensational and I appreciate a bit of rabble rousing, whatever the cause.
